Any real American would fight to preserve a society that grows a middle class of individual merchant enterprise that creates living wage jobs as the norm.  Oh no, the broadminded of unlimited migration tolerance are the social engineers of big government to their rotten core.  They would have you believe that only the absorption of the rainbow coalition would achieve amelioration for their co-dependent society.  The only kind of assimilation that fits into their scheme of behavior speaks the language of government addiction based upon slave labor.

Culture

A truism is that every generation reminisces about the good old days.  As people age they value the past more and develop an enhanced apprehension of cultural changes.  Change is the most natural of all conditions, but change is not always positive.  Actually, change is more often chaos than real progress. Secular aspects and influence have forever been a factor in cultural systems.  But the velocity that has taken over modern and post-modern eras has seen such rapidity in cultural mores and variations that one's life is indeed a very strange trip through time.  Examine the history of the post WWII generation.

Supreme Court

This is a country of laws!  Or so it is said.  If that really was the case, judges would be rightly held in esteem.  But what we have is a judiciary hell bent on changing society, in spite of what the law says and means.  In order to understand the plight we live under, read carefully the Inherent Autonomy essay - Why Supreme Court Selections are a False Choice.  Chief Justice John Marshall relegated individual States to second class municipalities, now Judge Samuel Alito will carry on the ignominious tradition that will elevate the Federal Government to even a higher dominance of legalized tyranny.  The selection of Alito will satisfy most of America.  Certainly the Democrats have resigned themselves to his ultimate confirmation.  The Senate confirmation hearings are hardly the ideological battle blood sport some expected.

Christmas

We all should know that Jesus was not born on December 25th or during the winter season.  Heck, in this secular culture some even argue that HE did not even exist.  So why should it be surprising that so many 'PC' devotees' are so dedicated to purging the Savior from the public square?  The American empire has become a pagan Saturnlian culture.  Saturnlia was the greatest festival of the Roman year, and was marked with great feasting, gift-giving, dancing, playing, and relaxing. Homes were decorated, work was suspended, and there was general merry-making done by all.

States' Rights

The Tenth Amendment has long been ignored, but has never been invalidated. The United States adopted a "Federal" form for government that is based upon shared powers. The STATE was designed to balance and define authorities among different jurisdictions and sovereign entities. The central government was bound to the restrictions of a constitution. The most significant of the "Bill of Rights" amendments is the clear acknowledgment  of the basic authority of States' Rights: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Consent

Consent is required for the legitimacy of any government. For Jefferson, the essence of consent originates and lies in each individual unit of jurisdiction. This idea is so basic and irrefutable that even the most maniac Statist must rest their argument on the foundation of the smallest unit. So why do they continually steer the discussion and limit the inquiry to the central government and seek to avoid the smaller components of independent government? The simple answer: if a State is sovereign, their consent must be obtained.

Rights are the province of all human beings. Natural rights stem from the reality that a person exists. In the writings of the British Empiricist John Locke, An Essay Concerning Humane Understanding and Two Treats of Government, he argues that natural law and natural rights are inherent to man's being. By contrast Thomas Hobbs in his work, Leviathan, viewed the nature of man is not endowed with intrinsic rights that could be based upon natural law, but rights are a creation of state power.

Civilization

For those of us who champion the Judeo-Christian values of Western Civilization, it is disturbing to comprehend the message in the Robert D Kaplan book, Warrior Politics: Why Leadership Demands a Pagan Ethos. In essence Mr Kaplan argues that our heritage in traditional values, needs to be relegated to "personal virtues", and should not underpin our foreign policy. He lauds Tiberius as a model for Roman Imperialism, and commends Machiavelli for his pragmatic social advice. Hardly the finest examples of enlightened achievements in our cultural legacy. If this is the best model to shape our world view, just how civilized are we to begin with?

THE Anarchist

In the hysteria after 911, people's views are clouded with emotion. As tragic as the attack was, America suffered a bloody nose. If one is serious to avert further carnage, the U.S. must be accepted as an honest broker; not a partner of only one side.
